How to Brief a Custom PC Skin Design: What to Send for the Perfect Result

A custom PC case skin is only as good as the idea behind it. The clearer your brief, the faster you get a design you love – with fewer rounds of changes. Don't worry: you don't need design skills. This checklist covers everything we need.

1. Your PC case model

Every case has different glass sizes, corners and screw holes. Send us the brand and exact model, including the version – for example "Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO" instead of just "O11". If you're not sure, a photo of your case or the product page helps too.

Prefer to measure yourself? Measure the width and height of the glass surface only – not the metal frame – and use decimals, for example 40.2 cm.

2. Which panels you want covered

• Side panel – the big window, the classic choice
• Front panel – on cases with glass at the front
• Top panel – on cases with a glass top
• Several panels – designed as one continuous look around the case

3. Your idea in a few sentences

Describe the feeling you want, not every detail. For example:

"A cozy night sky with soft purple clouds, a crescent moon and a few tiny bats. Cute, a little spooky, nothing too busy in the middle."

Helpful things to mention:

• The overall mood: cozy, cute, spooky, epic, calm, playful
• Motifs you'd like: characters, clouds, flowers, stars, animals, cities, shapes
• How busy it should be: a light frame or a rich, detailed scene

4. Reference images or a moodboard

Two to five pictures say more than a long text. These can be:

• Your room, desk or current setup
• Your desk mat, keycaps or peripherals you want to match
• Colors, patterns or illustration styles you like

References help us understand your taste and turn it into a design made for your case.

5. Your colors – and the ones you don't want

Name two to four colors you love. Just as useful: colors you don't want. Also tell us your case color – light pastel designs shine on white cases, strong contrast looks great on black ones.

6. Your own artwork (optional)

Streamers, VTubers and creators often want their logo, emotes or avatar on their PC. Send the highest-resolution files you have.
